NOTES TO ACCOMPANY THE TRAINING SCHEDULE

Notice that on 22 Aug and 26-27 Sep we MIGHT go to Grimes Airfield to see what their programs are. We’ll keep you informed as plans progress.

On 4 September Mary Feik (who has a cadet award named in her honor) will speak at Mt. Gretna. This will be a Class A or B night depending upon the weather.

On 11 through 13 September we have been asked to help with a Civil War re enactment at FTIG. Those of you who’ve participated in the Battle of the Bulge re enactment have an idea of what goes on and how much fun we have. Please consider signing up to join us for this event.

On 18 through 20 September we have again been asked to help with parking at the Hinklefest. Again, it’s a fun event and good publicity for our squadron.

On 16 through 18 October is the PA Wing Conference. This year it’s in Pittsburgh. I have no further information at this point but we’ll keep you informed as it becomes available.

On 31 October, we will again help place flags on the Avenue of Flags at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery (IGNC). More info as it becomes available.

Since promotions and award presentations will now be done the third week of the month, parents are encouraged to attend to see their cadet rewarded for their hard work and dedication.

PARENT: Please encourage your cadet to read the schedule and plan accordingly.

CADETS: Read the training schedule and mark your calendars accordingly. Don’t always rely on info gathered at the meetings or on your parents telling you what’s coming up in YOUR program.

Parents are always welcome and are encouraged to visit our squadron meetings.
